A Coach With the Right Pedigree
Joe Ingoglia born and raised in Kings Park, NY, grew up walking distance from Smithtown Landing C.C home of 1991 PGA National Teacher of the Year and PGA Hall of Fame instructor. Michael played a pivotal role in Joe’s development as a junior golfer as well as a coach. The first books Joe was given from Michael were “See and feel the inside move… the outside” & “The Golf Machine” both of which still are at the forefront of Joe’s teaching.
Upon competing for Division II Dowling College, Joe accepted the role of Assistant to Top 100 Golf Instructor and Head Professional at The Maidstone Club (East Hampton, NY) & Calusa Pines Golf Club (Naples, Fl): Eden Foster. Eden gave Joe his start in the private club environment and helped Joe truly organize his teaching beliefs.
After spending 4 years Teaching at Newport Country Club (Newport, RI) & Calusa Pines Golf Club (Naples, Fl) Joe accepted the role of Director of Instruction at Fresh Meadow Country Club, located just a few miles from New York City. It was here where Joe was Hired by PGA National Player of the year and award-winning golf instructor, Matt Dobyns. Matt was extremely influential in Joe’s coaching as these were the years that Matt challenged Joe to utilize technology to properly measure and assess all students to get the most out of them.
Most Recently, Joe credits world-famous coach Mac O’Grady far truly shaping him into a high-performance swing coach. From Joe’s trips to Japan, England, California and Florida, Joe has traveled the Globe with Mac organizing his golf schools and working with his players. Thanks to Mac, Joe has had the opportunity to work with Professional golfers who have won and completed on all major tours around the globe.
THE GOLF STUDIO
Inside the Golf lab, Joe uses a collection of equipment that would be the envy of any college physics laboratory. Ingoglia Golf Studio is the only facility on Long Island and one of only a few in the United States to feature a Swing Catalyst Dual Force Plate, K-Vest BioFeedback Training, High Speed Video Capture and Trackman 4 Radar in each and every golf lesson and club fitting creating a science and fact based teaching style that is customized for each golfer.
With our Initial Evaluation, you will see how we use technology & biomechanics to improve your game. During your first 90- minute visit, we’ll conduct a sophisticated diagnostic of your body and swing.
Based on that evaluation, you’ll get a detailed improvement plan and work with me to create a private instruction program to meet your goals.
What people say about us
Joe’s knowledge, skill set and passion is unlike any other teacher I have ever seen. He quickly identifies the problem with your swing and creates a game plan for the future. He completely revamped my game and got me hitting it better in a short time.
His method of teaching is explicit and very effective in creating a visual image which is reproducible long after the lessons are over. His positive reinforcement in concert with his particular teaching style stimulates your desire for further mastery of the game of golf. His enthusiasm when running tournaments is infectious. After many years of taking lessons I can say without reservation that Joe Ingoglia has a uniquely effective teaching style.
My handicap has declined by 3 shots. My short game became more consistent and my drives were more accurate. Joe’s insight and patience make for a great combination. I look forward to continuing our working together.
